The Aftermath of our Japan Trip.

Okie, it’s my turn to blog about what came after our Japan Trip. And i decided to jump queue first cause my Dear Daryl is happily mesmerized by his Japan photos and taking his own sweet time (Donkey years!) to blog about our freakin’ japan Trip~ (Hope you people are put off by his long-winded essay writing!)

The first thing i realized is that i’ve put on 2kg after the trip!
This calls for a diet!!!
So i have decided to cut down on my carbs intake and eating more salads instead of taking rice/noodles~
I love getting more veggie varieties to choose from, So off i went to NTUC Xtra fairprice- thats my favorite place to go at midnight cause its 24 hr to do salad shopping lol~

And wala! I designed my own salad with the 2 types of Japanese salad dressings! And they tasted like the ones we ate at those japanese restaurants!

Left: Ponzu(Citrus) based dressing & Right: Goma (Sesame) Dressing

Our home made creations!

I now enjoy my meals with a slice of toast with butter and some strawberry jam and bowl of colourful, juicy vegetable with yummy japanese salad sauce~ Try it! you’ll not regret.
The colour foods make me happy, feeling not soo “sinful” after eating them. My Dad is a health freak so i always remember he would keep telling me that the most healthy salad have 6 different colours!  (yellow, red, black, green, purple and  orange)

So to confirm my curiosity and my dad’s “Lao Ren Yan” (Old Adage), i went to look for my friend Google for more info! Lol~

This is what i found!

Quote of the day: “Did you know that adding color to your plates may add years to your life?”

These days after an hour’s rest from a hearty healthy dinner. We usually go down to exercise for at least an hour or so. And the results? I lost 1kg immediately after just a sweaty badminton game. And what they always call it as “water retention.” 1kg of water! diao ~ I’m so lucky that i’ve a public badminton court just below my block.

So gals remember, if you want to lose weight, go on a low carb diet and add in some exercise to your daily routine! And of course, go whip up some salads at your nearest NTUC xtra today! If not for health, i also enjoy going grocery shopping for to ogle at lovely Japanese packaging design. They really take pride in their services, food and of course DESIGN~♥ not only that. The products taste delicious and yet welcoming~

Tokyo Banana confectionery goodies from Narita airport~ NTUC/Cold Storage has some goodies, but they are very ex T.T

Zzz time to sleep ~

Wondering what a Graphic designer’s room looks like? NExt post, am gonna share a little bit of how my room looks like ~ if you guys are interested! ;p

Lots of Love,
Michelle
